We strongly recommend that you leave your car on the mainland. Parking is extremely limited on Nantucket Island. You will be better able to appreciate the peacefulness and serenity of the island by foot or on a rented bicycle, the preferred method of travel on Nantucket Island. Taxis and shuttle buses run throughout the day. If you require a vehicle on island, cars, four wheel drive vehicles and mopeds are available for rent within two blocks.

New York, Boston, Providence, Martha’s Vineyard, and Hyannis airports provide direct flights to Nantucket via:

  Jet Blue (www.jetblue.com) (800) JET-BLUE
  Nantucket Airline from Hyannis (www.flycapeair.com) (800) 635-8787
Cape Air from Boston, Providence (www.flycapeair.com) (800) 352-0714
  Island Air from Hyannis (www.islandair.net) (800) 248-7779

Ferry schedules and reservations are available from:

  Steamship Authority (www.steamshipauthority.com) (508) 477-8600
  Hyline Ferry (www.hy-linecruises.com) (800) 492-8082

The Steamship Authority (SSA) offers a one hour ferry for passengers only and a two hour ferry for both passengers and vehicles. SSA ferries dock at Nantucket's Steamship Wharf which is located two blocks from the Inn. The HyLine passenger ferry docks at Straight Wharf which is approximately six blocks from the Inn. If you are arriving by plane the Nantucket Whaler is a five minute taxi ride from the airport.
