We strongly recommend that you leave your car on the mainland.
Parking is extremely limited on Nantucket Island. You will be
better able to appreciate the peacefulness and serenity of the
island by foot or on a rented bicycle, the preferred method of
travel on Nantucket Island. Taxis and shuttle buses run
throughout the day. If you require a vehicle on island, cars,
four wheel drive vehicles and mopeds are available for rent
within two blocks.

The Steamship Authority (SSA) offers a one hour ferry for
passengers only and a two hour ferry for both passengers and
vehicles. SSA ferries dock at Nantucket's Steamship Wharf
which is located two blocks from the Inn. The HyLine passenger
ferry docks at Straight Wharf which is approximately six blocks
from the Inn. If you are arriving by plane the Nantucket Whaler
is a five minute taxi ride from the airport.

From New York City: Approximately 270 miles; 4-5 hours.
Follow route 95 to Providence, RI; Route 195 to Wareham, MA; Route
25 over the Bourne Bridge; Route 6 to Exit #6; Route 132 into
Hyannis. Follow signs to airport or docks.
From Boston: Approximately 80 miles; 1.5 hours. Follow Route
3 (Southeast Expressway); Route 6 over the Sagamore Bridge; Route
132 into Hyannis; follow signs to airport or docks.
